Role Description

 

Documentary/Film team interns will complete and market The Cost of Darkness, a documentary by The Culture C.O.-O.P. The film explores the cost of having darker skin against the backdrop of historical inequity, oppression, and white supremacy. Interns will assist in completing the documentary and help to promote, organize, and facilitate viewings and discussions.

Documentary/Film team interns will also conduct research, direct, produce, and edit video projects regarding the documentary and topics related to inclusion and equity. They will meet as a team to brainstorm, discuss, and develop video ideas. They will coordinate ideas to promote The Culture C.O.-O.P. and its work. Most importantly, they will submit The Cost of Darkness documentary to various film festivals and promote the film nationally and internationally.

  • Can give short presentations; learn and utilize self-care practices; lead a stillness activity for the others to participate in, and write at least one blog to be posted on our “We All Have a Heritage” website (among other assignments as requested).
